Elementary Teacher
I graduated high school from N.A.I. Christian School in 1996. After high school, I went to Texarkana College in order to pursue my Occupational Therapy degree. I graduated with my associates degree in 1999, and then I changed my major to education. I changed my major because deep down I knew that I was suposed to teach. I graduated with my teaching degree in 2010. I am currently working on my masters degree in Instructional Technology.
Associates of Arts in Pre-Professional Studies
Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies
Master of Instructional Technology (currently working on this degree)
I recently attended CAMT, which is a math training conference, this summer in Houston, Texas. After leaving Houston, I traveled to San Antonio, Texas to attend the TEKS resource conference.
I have had the privilege of teaching at C.K. Bender for 4 years. I began on this campus in August of 2011. I am excited to teach some of my favorite subjects which are: Math, Science, and Social Studies.
Before coming to C.K. Bender, I taught for TISD. I taught 1 year at Westlawn Elementary and 1 year at Dunbar Elementary. I really appreciate having had the experience of teaching on those campuses.
One thing that I can tell you about me, is that I used to live in Anchorage, Alaska. I completely love the cold weather. I love to laugh and make others laugh. I enjoy teaching and want my students to enjoy learning. I have many favorite colors, but usually I lean towards bright, neon colors. I enjoy swimming, reading, volleyball, dancing, and even video games. I have two pets Kiki my German shephard dog and Coco my chocolate-tipped Siamese cat. I have attached photos so that you can see my four-legged babies. Unfortunately, CoCo passed away last year. He was such a loveable and funny cat. I really miss him alot.
